Mitsubishi Chariot

When Mitsubishi Motors showed the Mitsubishi SSW (Super Space Wagon) concept car at the 1979 Tokyo Motor Show it created a huge amount of interest. This persuaded the company to launch the Chariot in February 1983, one of the pioneers of the three row minivans.

Inside, it was all open and airy and had an extremely versatile seat configuration: the second row seats could be rotated to face the third row, and both rows could be folded flat. The 2.0L model, added in June 1984, had a push-button selector making it easy to change between 2WD and 4WD.
